In 2007 Varuzhan Mouradian was a successful accountant in California who loved wine. In 2008 he bought land in Armenia, relocated his family and fully committed to his dream of making his own wine. Ten years later Van Ardi is an unqualified success. The Estate just opened a brand new winery and tasting room to accommodate the demand for Van Ardi wines.
Located 40 minutes north of Yerevan, the estate grows Armenian red and white grape varieties and a small plot of Syrah that Varuzhan sourced from his favorite California vineyard. Van Ardi makes a variety of Red, White and Rosé wines. The Reserves are aged in a blend of French and Caucasian oak barrels.
