Tushpa's vineyards are in the scenic Ararat Valley. The ground is typically very fertile and the Tushpa makes concerted efforts to control the yields of it's Haghtanak and Kangun grapes to maximize the flavors of these two varieties The Red is made from Estate grown Haghtanak Grapes, fermented in steel tanks and aged 7 months in Caucasian Oak barrels.
The wine is deep purple to the rim. As it opens up, plum fruit and herbal notes join the sweet oak aromas. On the palate the black plum flavors combine with wild cherry and dried herbs. Medium bodied, tannic, well balanced wine. A very good expression of Haghtanak.
Try with red meats and spicy food.
