Van Ardi Red Blend 2017
Van Ardi's Dry Red is a blend of Estate Grown Areni, Haghtanak and Khaket grapes, this wine is fermented in steel tanks and given a short aging in Artsakh oak barrels. The Areni grapes provide the bright red fruit, the Khaket acidity and the Haghtanak adds color, perfume and black fruit elements.
The wine begins with a vivid purple-red color. The nose gives off aromas of mulberry, plum and violets. On the palate more floral/pastille elements, macerated strawberries, maple syrup notes. No noticeable oak, light tannins and a smooth sweet finish. Very complex for a young wine, drink this up over the next three years.
Try with burgers, pizza, spicy food.
