Rikars Davit 2018
Davit is made from 100% old vine Areni from the Vayots Dzor. The grapes are fermented in concrete tanks and the wine is aged in Armenian Oak barrels.
This is the second vintage of Davit and winemaker Federico Renzi again emphasizes the bright Areni fruit from the high elevation vineyard . The cherry aromas are joined by more red berry fruit on the palate. Very little oak is noticeable, but chocolate and dried fruit emerge and add complexity to this delicious wine.
Pair with chicken or other light dishes as to not overwhelm the beautiful complexity of Davit.
